How per user billing works

Your Cinderblock subscription cost is based on the number of active users on your account, not named licenses. You pay for seats, not specific people.

Adding a user

When you add a user, your card is charged immediately for a prorated amount based on the number of days remaining in your current billing cycle. From your next billing date, the full per-user rate applies.

Removing a user

Disable a user to remove them from your next bill. No separate step needed to release the seat — disabling the user is enough.

Seats, not licenses

Cinderblock uses a seat-based model. If you disable a user, that seat becomes available immediately. Add a new user in their place and you won’t pay anything extra — you’re just filling the same seat.

This is different from per-user licensing models where a license is tied to a specific person. In Cinderblock, you pay for active seats, not individuals.
