Timesheet types and statuses
Last updated: November 4, 2026
A timesheet’s type shows what the time was tracked for. Its status shows the timesheet’s current state.
Types
| Type | What it tracks |
|---|---|
| Clock | A shift, from start to end. See Track your shift with the clock. |
| Job | Work on a job. |
| Appointment | Work on an appointment. |
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Incomplete | The time is still being tracked and doesn’t have an end time yet. |
| Complete | The timesheet has a start and end time. |
| Settled | The timesheet has been marked as paid out. See Mark a timesheet settled. |
Simultaneous time tracking
- You can track time on one job or one appointment at a time. The clock can run alongside it.
- The clock and job or appointment time stop independently. Stopping one doesn’t stop the other.
If you try to start time on a job or appointment while you’re already tracking time on another job or appointment, the new time won’t start.
Saved timesheets for the same user can overlap. For example, you can add a timesheet manually for time that overlaps another one.
