Taxable line items on invoices

Check and change the tax on an invoice in the Cinderblock mobile app.

Change an invoice’s tax rate

1. Open the invoice.
2. Open its more options menu and select Tax settings.
3. Check the Tax rate and Billing address, and change the rate if needed.

If you use QuickBooks Online, the tax rate comes from QuickBooks and can’t be changed on the invoice.

Which lines are taxed

Line items added from Services & Materials use the item’s existing tax setting. New items created directly on the invoice are untaxed by default.

Changing tax is an edit to the invoice. If it changes the balance, the invoice’s status updates to match.
