Copy an estimate

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Make a copy of an estimate to reuse its work in a new estimate. You can copy an estimate in any status. The copy gets a new estimate ID and starts as a Draft, regardless of the original’s status. Making a copy doesn’t change the original estimate.

Copy from the Estimates list

  1. Select Estimates in the sidebar.

  2. Select the more options menu (⋮) at the end of the estimate’s row.

  3. Select Make a copy.

A new estimate opens with the copied details.

  4. Review the copy and make any changes.

  5. Select Save estimate.

Copy from an estimate

  1. Open the estimate.
  2. Select the more options menu (⋮) at the top right of the estimate.
  3. Select Make a copy.
  4. Review the copy and make any changes.
  5. Select Save estimate.

The copy isn’t saved until you select Save estimate.

Save and copy a new estimate

When you’re creating an estimate, select the arrow next to Save estimate, then select Save and copy. Your estimate is saved, and a copy of it opens as a new estimate.

What’s copied

The copy includes:

  • Customer
  • Linked job
  • Salesperson
  • Line items and their descriptions
  • Public note
  • Terms & Conditions
  • Attachments
  • PO number and Customer reference
  • View settings

The copy’s Estimate date is set to today. Its Expiration date is calculated using the default expiration setting under Company settings > Estimates > General.
