Why is editing emails disabled during the trial period?
Spam. Everyone hates it! But fortunately, email providers are getting better and better at catching it.
One of ways they do this is by checking whether the sender of the email is a trusted source. To get around this, spammers sometimes sign up for apps like Cinderblock, which can send emails, and abuse their email servers to blast spam. This doesn’t just clutter innocent people’s inboxes, it also hurts our email reputation, making it more likely that legitimate emails sent with Cinderblock will land in your customers’ spam folders. And we can’t have that!
Because we offer a free trial and receive sign-ups from around the world, it’s nearly impossible to catch every (insert curse word) spammer before they slip through. That’s why we’ve implemented safeguards, including restricting email edits during the trial period.
We know this might be frustrating for honest users, like you. So if you’d like to fully test Cinderblock and need this restriction lifted, please contact us with the email address associated with your account, and we’ll get you up and running — assuming you’re not a spammer, of course. 😅
We all love a good story, so for your entertainment we uploaded a screenshot from the last spammer who got through before we implemented this rule. This wise guy got shut down after they fired off just a single email!
